MEET THE OWNERS
JEFF
A Salem native who owns every book written on the trials
Jeff grew up on these streets and has spent more than thirty years reading everything he can find about Salem’s history. Court transcripts, confessions, the petitions people signed to save their neighbors. He is also a descendant on both sides of the trials, with those accused and their accusers.
That personal connection inspired Jeff to create the 1692 Salem Tour. Together with his sister, Lori, he set out to create one of the most historically accurate and research-driven walking tours in Salem. One that moves beyond the myths and legends to honor the real people whose lives were forever changed by the Salem Witch Trials.
That’s why this tour feels different. It isn’t a script. It’s one person trying to get the story right, out of respect for the people it happened to.
LORI
A Mayflower descendant with family ties to both sides of the Salem Witch Trials.
A Massachusetts native and lifelong history enthusiast, Lori Tinkham has deep roots in New England history. Her ancestors arrived aboard the Mayflower, and her family’s connection to the Salem Witch Trials can be found on both sides of the tragedy, among those who were accused of witchcraft and those who made accusations.
Behind the scenes, Lori keeps everything moving. She handles tour bookings, manages the website and company Facebook page, and is usually the person on the other end when you contact us. If you have questions about a tour or need help planning your visit to Salem, feel free to reach out. Lori is always happy to help make your trip to the Witch City a memorable one.
